Job Advert Role Description

We are seeking a part time Maintenance Assistant, based at Bath Road Children's Home, but also working across our other sites in the Frome area on occasion.

You will be a key part of our maintenance team, delivering an efficient and effective service to assist in the well-being and safety of our young people.  You will work to maintain a well-decorated, safe and comfortable environment throughout the children's home, in line with quality standards and statutory regulations.

Experience is preferred, and a flexible approach is a must in this varied and challenging role.

A clean driving licence with at least 3 years driving experience is essential.

Bath Road is a specialist children's home for young people aged 7 to 18 who have complex needs which may include autistic spectrum disorder (ASD). The home is located in the market town of Frome in Somerset, with easy walking access to the local town centre.

The home provides residential provision for up to 52 weeks a year, is a stand alone children’s home, and is also linked to North Hill House and Newbury Manor Schools, both of which are in Frome.

The home’s focus is to promote the development of individual social behaviour, independence and personal skills and offering opportunities to practise these in real life settings. This ensures that our young people develop a positive outlook on life in a safe, warm, welcoming, structured and fun environment.
