Job Advert Role Description

Kent House is a 17-bedded Tier 4 low secure hospital for young people aged 12 – 18 years with mental health, behavioural or psychological difficulties, including ASD, and an OFSTED-registered school which supports the young people with educational attainment.

The service is set in a rural environment with close links and transport to the local community and amenities.

We provide care for the young people admitted to Kent House Hospital in the least restrictive way and we adhere to the values and principles of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). We are members of the Quality Network for Inpatient CAMHSto measure and improve the quality of our care and treatment.     

We are currently looking for a qualified Social worker to join our Therapies team, using their skills, knowledge and understanding of practice to provide a Social Work Service to patients within the secure environment. 

Experience and qualifications required:
•  Degree level Social Work qualification BSc or MA
•  Registration with Social Work England
•  Detailed knowledge and understanding of current legislation
•  Experience within a similar setting (forensic, secure or mental health or Child Protection)
