Job Advert Role Description

Due to staff progression our Children's Home in Whiston, Rotherham, are currently recruiting a Deputy Manager to join our team.

Our home currently supports 4 boys between the age of 9 - 18 that have emotional and behavioural difficulties and complex diagnoses such as ASD.  Your support will keep you active and occupied providing you with a range of new experiences whilst supporting our young people to build their self-esteem and learn life skills.

You will:

  • Support the registered manager in the leadership and management of the home.
  • Deputise and act up for the registered manager in their absence.
  • Have a good knowledge of the childrens home regulations.
  • Support managing the staff team, recruit, induct, supervise and manage staff.
  • Support the registered manager in ensuring all the young persons documents are in place, up to date and regularly reviewed.
  • Work flexible hours if required to meet the needs of the young people.
  • Have a minimum of a Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People.
