Job Advert Role Description

We are seeking a Deputy Home Manager for our residential children's home located in the Leyland area.

Under the direction of the Registered House Manager, you will take lead on the following:

  • Effectively lead the team of support workers and enable the delivery of care and education to all the students and young people
  • Guide and manage the team and ensure that the service complies with local procedures and corporate policy, statutory regulations and quality standards
  • Provide residential care for boys and girls aged 6 to 19 who have mild, moderate and severe autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex learning needs and challenging behaviour. 
  • Assisting our young people with their daily lives. This could be in the form of helping the young person to School, accompanying them to take part in an activity or simply assisting them in completion of general daily tasks, including morning and night time routines.

  • NVQ/Diploma L5 Leadership and Management for residential child care or working towards and Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People Residential Services

  • A full driving license held for at least 3 years
