Job Advert Role Description

As part of our multi-disciplinary team you will assist and support the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of patients in the unit and in the community. Under the direct supervision of a qualified nurse you will be required to undertake a range of duties involving direct patient contact and interaction. You will make an effective contribution to providing high quality care within recovery and rehabilitation setting. The client group consists of individuals with enduring mental illnesses and personality disorder. You will work within an identified career development pathway and be expected to complete appropriate competency development portfolios.

Lochlea is a community based development which provides a high standard of care to people with mental illness and personality disorder. The site works closely with The Ayr Clinic (Forensic Low Secure Hospital) 

Based in Mauchline the service has a specialist Forensic stepdown remit with a focus on offering patients community transitional skills in a safe environment.

The unit delivers therapeutic, occupational and clinical interventions with access to local facilities. 

The low secure service operates with a full multi-disciplinary team including OT, forensic psychiatry and psychology. Service users are supported to develop living skills by encouraging an independent model of care.

We are looking for motivated, dedicated and innovative staff to work in our unit and assist in helping promote recovery and well-being with our service users. 

You will have the opportunity to contribute to assessments, plan care alongside the individual, and monitor user progress. This is an exciting role for a new or experienced person in this dynamic service which will offer you an opportunity to help shape and develop the service model.
