There are regular buses from Chelmsford town centre, the A12 is 5 miles away, and central London can be reached within 40 minutes by train. There is free parking on site.

Since it opened in 1992, Chelmsford hospital has established an excellent reputation for providing high quality treatment for a diverse range of mental health conditions including addictions, and is rated ‘excellent’ by former patients for its excellence, dedication, commitment to individuals, as well as producing outstanding treatment outcomes.

The hospital provides a range of services, offering outstanding opportunities to work across a variety of services such as Adult acute mental health, Specialist Adult Eating Disorders, Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Addictions treatment programmes.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Abilities

  • Excellent Leadership  and Management Skills
  • Clinical experience within a Multi-disciplinary team
  • Good communicator within all situations
  • Experienced  in leading a team
  • Able to focus on staffing and develop staff to meets the needs of the ward
  • Experience of supporting students
  • Knowledge of Mental Health Legislation and Statutory requirements
  • Experience of investigations, complaints and report writing
