Job Advert Role Description

Priory Hospital Hayes Grove is a private 46-bed acute psychiatric hospital for adults, located on the edge of London in Hayes, Kent. 

Rated 'good' by the CQC in 2021, the hospital provides care and treatment for patients with a wide range of mental health issues both as inpatients and day patients. Hayes Grove specialises in providing care for patients with acute mental health conditions, addiction issues - both drug and alcohol, and also has a specialist Eating Disorders unit and NHS acute service. The hospital is situated close to excellent transport links to central London, Croydon and Bromley areas and parking is available locally.

A unique opportunity is now available to join an established team in a brand new position of Quality and Governance Facilitator part time for 18.5 hours per week. If you are interested in promoting and developing high quality services but you're looking for a full time post, we except applications for this new role in conjunction with a post of part time Charge Nurse position or RMN.

Interested candidates should be highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals who can work in a team and autonomously when required. The individual must be able to manage and prioritise their own workload accordingly. Experience of a minimum of two years working within a relevant clinical environment in the role of RMN or Charge Nurse with a particular interest in striving for excellence.

In the position of Quality and Governance facilitator, the post holder play a key part in working with the Hospital Senior Management Team, delivering the hospital quality strategy. The role will include working with the ward departments to facilitate and support in the implementation, monitoring, reviewing, auditing and promotion of high standards of care and development of clinical practices.  The role will support the Governance agenda covering a range of internal activity with regard to compliance with statutory/regulatory and current legislation, while supporting the site in meeting quality standards and delivering against quality performance indicators. 

You must have good IT competence and report writing skills and understand regulatory standards. Experience of key computer applications e.g. spreadsheets, power point, Datix incident reporting system but the most important attribute is a positive “can do” attitude and a willingness to help improve out hospital through the delivery of the Governance agenda and embedding learning, evidence based practice and improvement of patient care.

The post holder will have excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills including the awareness of the impact of communication on the desired audience. You must be able to converse with internal and external colleagues. You should also have a good knowledge of medical terminology as the position will involve working with clinical data.
