Job Advert Role Description

Stockton Hall Hospital is 112 bedded, 7 wards, medium secure hospital in the beautiful city of York, just a couple of miles from the city centre. We are an independent sector hospital. We exclusively treat NHS patients and work closely with our NHS colleagues to achieve the best outcomes for our patients. The patient group consists of men and women with /Mental Illness and/or Personality Disorder and men with mild to moderate Learning Disability / Autistic Spectrum Disorder. We are members of our local Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STP).

We offer a wide range of specialist services including; mental illness, personality disorder, neurodevelopmental disorder, learning disability and female medium secure services. Our treatment is facilitated by a well-resourced, multi-disciplinary group of clinicians. Our psychology, occupational, social work and physical wellness provision provides a wide range of opportunities for our patients.

We are seeking a full time Consultant Psychiatrist with an interest in mental illness and personality disorder treatment. The role is consultant-delivered and supported by a full MDT.
• Previous consultant experience is desirable but not essential.
• You will fulfil the role of Responsible Clinician to patients.
• You must hold a CCT, or equivalent, in Forensic Psychiatry or General Psychiatry.
• Meet regulatory requirements, such as GMC registration and revalidation.
The role will include a residential on-call rota (approximately 1:8).
