Job Advert Role Description

Priory Lodge School are seeking a Qualified Science Teacher to deliver the Key Stage 3 and 4 curriculum.  The successful candidate must have the ability to teach Physics as part of this role.

The successful applicant will carry out the professional duties covered by the latest School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document.  The post holder will be expected to undertake duties in line with the professional standards for Qualified Teachers and uphold the professional code of the General Teaching Council for England.

This role includes:

  • Teaching a class of pupils, ensuring that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reporting meet their varying learning, speech and language and social needs;
  • Maintaining the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom;
  • Providing timely and accurate reports to all stakeholders including SLT, parent/carers and Local Authority caseworkers;
  • Providing accurate assessments of learning and progress and matched against aspirational and appropriate targets;
  • Maintaining the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom and to promote independence and the love of learning.
