Unsted Park School is a special school for students aged 7 to 19 years who have a diagnosis of ASD or similar communication disorder and with common co-morbid diagnoses (ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia). We are committed to providing the highest level of education and care in a safe, positive environment that enables each individual to achieve his or her maximum potential and the focus of the whole school approach is in three core areas: education, independence and inclusion.

Class sizes are small with no more than eight students in our largest teaching groups. Lessons are carefully planned and take into account the needs, interests and abilities of all students so that learning is more purposeful and engaging. Additional support in the classroom is provided by way of classroom assistants who work with students to build their confidence and self-esteem whilst also supporting their academic, social and developmental needs.   Students have access to key adults and additional therapeutic input. Currently the team on site comprises of six clinical therapists and three therapy assistants.

Unsted adopts a broadly academic approach, allied to the national curriculum and underpinned by nurture principles where required (in KS2 and KS3). Students follow a personalised programme of study, that takes into account their strengths and passions and presents their learning in a meaningful, accessible and engaging way.
