Job Advert Role Description

The Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal is a specialist provider of complex mental health services, providing clinical excellence in our eating disorders, adolescent, rehabilitation and PICU services.

Working within our Business Support Services job family the successful candidate will ensure business processes are effectively and efficiently managed to support the delivery of a quality care service to our stakeholders.

With 2 years previous administrative experience ideally within a clinical environment with good diary management and interpersonal skills. You will provide an efficient, professional and effective secretarial support service with a 'can-do' attitude. This will involve typing, audio-typing, diary management, the production of documents and/or reporting materials, handling telephone enquiries, filing, updating systems and databases as required. Providing comprehensive administrative support on varied tasks to assist senior managers and/or departments. 

Educated to GCSE (Grades A-C) or equivalent standard. Excellent keyboard skills and an intermediate level of proficiency for the standard range of computer office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.  An understanding of mental health/ medical terminology is desirable.

The post holder will have the ability to organise and prioritise their own work within established procedures.  Work well as an individual and fit into a team when required.  Excellent communication skills with a friendly and helpful nature but able to demonstrate tenacity when completing a task. 

Benefits include Annual leave entitlement of 33 days (includes 8 bank/public holidays) pro-rata, with additional leave for long service, a contributory pension.
