Job Advert Role Description

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Ashridge in Boston, Lincolnshire. 

Ashridge is an 18 bedded specialist home for individuals with adults with learning disabilities. Ashridge consists of a 6 bedded bungalow and a 12 bedded house and has a substantial amount of grounds that require tending to with the look to develop into a more meaningful space.

Our Maintenance role involves responding to the needs of the services in respect of preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance and building projects and repairs at Ashridge with due regard for the safety of the people we support, staff and public.

As a Maintenance Assistant you will ensure the home is maintained as a safe and secure place to live for the residents. You will maintain the home and grounds to ensure they are in excellent condition at all times and work closely with the home manager on long term maintenance plans.

You will check and repair fixtures and fittings that may include lighting and heating. The safety and security of our residents is at the forefront of what we do, so by ensuring the home is safe and properly maintained is of utmost importance. We are looking for someone who is passionate about what they do, with a friendly and outgoing nature and who really wants to make a difference in our residents lives.
