Do you like to make positive change in people's life? Then this role is for you! We are currently looking to recruit a new Service Manager for a brand new supported living unit, comprising of 6 individual self-contained apartments located in Market Weighton. You will have overall leadership for this exciting new development.  

Reporting to the Registered Manager to ensure all that all contractual and regulatory requirements are met, understanding and keeping up to date with the requirements of all relevant legislation and managing the regulated activity.  

You will have to ensure that clients' needs are met to a high standard to foster their wellbeing and development and fulfil their potential for independence, choice, inclusion and control. 

As the leader you will support and manage the staff team to deliver high standards of care and support to the tenants to achieve good quality outcomes in their life.

 

  • To develop and maintain the necessary working relationships with management and functional colleagues throughout the company.
  • Working in partnership with the Social Landlord to ensure the apartments are kept to a high standard and the required health and Safety checks are undertaken on a regular basis
  • Develop strong working relationships with HR and other support functions to ensure the support workers are inducted, trained, motivated and supported to achieve Priory standards and Values standards.
  • Works with local Authorities and CCG to build relationships and multi agency support to tenants.
  • Be responsible for achieving the agreed budget.
  • A good understanding of budgets is desirable.
  • Excellent working knowledge of health and safety, risk assessment, safeguarding, person centred support and care planning, staff management.
  • Line-management  and supervise care and support staff, facilitating a high level of excellence amongst staff teams .
  • Previous management experience within a supported living provision or understanding of how it operates
  • Good standard of education qualifications in Health and Social Care

A sincere interest in the wellbeing of clients. A desire to promote and support clients' independence, choice, control and inclusion.

 Excellent working knowledge of all aspects of supporting adults with COMPLEX Mental Health /learning disabilities both practically and administratively.

Good understanding of Supported living and the REACH standards

A sound working knowledge of the statutory requirements associated with care of people with complex Mental health.
