Our unique range of services gives our colleagues the opportunity to develop skills and experience of working with a broad range of mental health conditions across five mental health service lines, across the hospital’s seven wards.

We provide a diverse range of inpatient services, including acute and psychiatric intensive care for adults (including our unique 18-25 year old service), child and adolescent mental health, specialist eating disorder (including day care) and private acute and addictions treatment programmes.  Our multi-disciplinary teams take great pride in delivering personalised treatment programmes to our patients and have established an excellent reputation for providing the highest standards of care.

If you are looking for an employer that’s passionate about supporting your career progression, where you can work as part of a committed, diverse and experienced team, and you share our passion for delivering outstanding care to make a real and lasting difference to patients’ lives, then Priory Hospital Woodbourne is the place for you!

Beech is a 12 bedded Acute ward  for 18-25 year olds contracted to Forward Thinking Birmingham (FTB). The primary function of the acute ward is to work with young adults whose risks may be greater than those in the community, and therefore our team focuses mainly on risk assessment and management whilst offering therapeutic engagement during their admission.

We work closely alongside young adults, their families/carers and community teams to support recovery and we pride ourselves on always focussing on the “least restrictive principle”. We are a team that focusses on reflecting and learning from our experiences and we actively encourage service user involvement and choice.

As the Ward Manager you will have the enviable role of co-ordinating the delivery and running of this unique service. Not only to ensure it is a service of clinical excellence, also that you facilitate a service which is a catalyst, for long term recovery for our clients.
