Priory Hospital Barnt Green is located in the stunning Lickey Hills Country Park, 10 miles south of Birmingham City Centre. We have thirty-three beds across three wards including ten NHS Psychiatric Intensive Care beds for women, thirteen NHS acute beds for men and women and ten private beds for men and women. In addition to providing inpatient services, the hospital has a large Outpatient department and regional conference facilities.

Throughout 2020 Priory Hospital Barnt Green has undergone an extensive refurbishment to provide high quality facilities. The first phase of the project was completed in November 2020, with the full completion planned for March 2021.

The role:

You will be delivering 1-1 and group therapy to inpatients and outpatients. As part of an MDT you will be working alongside other therapists with a range of modalities, Consultant Psychiatrist, Ward Doctors and Nursing staff. You will be part of a team delivering two group programmes to our inpatients and day care patients. You will also be providing one to one therapy to patients with a variety of presentations including depression, anxiety and trauma.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dedicated team of therapists providing a full and robust treatment programme, which includes CBT, DBT skills, Mindfulness and psychotherapy. An addiction therapist's role is to develop a treatment plan for patients and help them develop ways of coping with their destructive urges. Successful candidates must be knowledgeable about the different kinds of addiction, such as alcohol and drug dependency.

You will need to have or be working towards full accreditation with relevant governing bodies such as BACP, NCS or equivalent. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a new team, in a brand new hospital located in a beautiful setting.
