Job Advert Role Description

Priory Group is the UK’S leading independent provider of mental health care and education services.  We have an outstanding reputation both for the service we deliver and for the investment we make in our people and in our environment.

Set within landscaped gardens in Cheshire, Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal (close to Manchester) offers a range of complex mental health services, providing clinical excellence in our eating disorders, adolescent, rehabilitation, acute and PICU services. We use an eclectic model of care and intervention, drawing on a variety of evidence-based approaches.

We are looking for an experienced lead family therapist to join our CAMHS inpatient team. The ideal candidate will have a core professional qualification, will have completed their Masters in family and systemic psychotherapy training and will be registered with the UKCP and AFT. They will have significant experience within the field and experience of supervising other family therapists/systemic practitioners. They will be committed to working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

The role involves working systemically with families and supporting the CAMHS team to think systemically in formal and informal contexts. The role will involve work with individual families and co-ordinating the provision of the parent/carer support groups, which may involve some commitment to working outside of usual working hours.

The succesful candidate will act as lead for a small, friendly team of family therapists within Cheadle Priory. They will provide supervision to the other family therapists on site. There is the possibility to conduct some work within a family therapy clinic with a range of clients from across CAMHS and the Adult Eating Disorder services within Cheadle Priory.
