Job Advert Role Description

We are recruiting for enthusiastic and highly skilled individuals to join a new inpatient hospital team for adults with eating disorders in High Wycombe.

We offer a warm and nurturing environment where people receive intensive treatment for eating disorders including severe and enduring anorexia nervosa.  We work togther to achieve the best possible outcomes and quality of life for everyone in our care.

Together we will reflect on, explore and understand the patient's needs, helping them to develop the skills to build a new positive outlook, confidence and skills for a positive future.  We will work through the process of creating a personal identity outside of their eating disorder as well as helping to build social networks within the community.

The job holder must currently hold a full clean driving licence and have been qualified for 3 years.

Providing assistance to professional and clinical staff with the planning, implementation and evaluation of therapy and care plans in order to support the mental, emotional, physical and social well-being of assigned clients.

Supporting senior staff as part of the care and therapy planning process, assisting with tests, exercises and examinations as directed.

Assisting trained staff with the preparation, planning and delivery of group and one to one occupational, therapeutic and recreational activities; observing, recording and reporting patient responses to the assigned clinician as appropriate.

Ensuring effective, timely and accurate updating of clinical records and case files.

The role holder will require an appropriate degree and/or training in the field of mental health including informal courses and/or postgraduate qualifications, with relevant training/experience in therapeutic models such as CBT.
