Job Advert Role Description

Set in the leafy suburb of Edgbaston, close to Birmingham City centre, Priory Hospital Woodbourne is conveniently located for access to the West Midlands motorway network and with very good local public transport links.

The hospital provides a diverse range of inpatient services, including acute and psychiatric intensive care, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, specialist Eating Disorder and private acute and addictions treatment programmes. Our multi-disciplinary teams deliver personalised treatment programmes to our patients and have established an excellent reputation for providing the highest standards of care.

We have a part time Social Worker position available working within our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), comprising of 2 wards.

Candidates will possess a social work degree and be registered with the relevant Professional Body and have a sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Children's Act and Safeguarding.

Candidates will have at least two years experience of working as a qualified practitioner including experience within a mental health setting and CAMHS experience.

Candidates will be able to build effective working relationships with patients and their families in order to support their needs throughout admission and at discharge.

Working as part of a full multi-disciplinary team, the social worker will contribute to ward rounds, family meeting, case conferences and multi-disciplinary meetings as required.
