Job Advert Role Description
Stroud Eating Disorders Service (SEDS) is a specialist residential service providing medium to long-term support and treatment for young peeople and young adults (aged 13-25) suffering from eating disorders and other associated complex mental health difficulties. We do this across 3 residential homes.
The role is based at Althea Park House, a 7 bedded home for young adults (17-25) and The Anchor is a 3 bedded semi-independnent step-down home (18+) on the Althea Park House site.
This role allows a relatively rare opperunity to build longer term, meaningful therapuetic relationships and use them to support people to affect change. We are fortunate to be able to do this in warm, homely environments, within the beautiful Stroud Valleys, in Gloucerstershire.
Our therapetic model focuses on supporting our service users to build a life outside of the confines of their eating disorder or indeed, mental illness. We work hard to support those that live in our homes, to build their own resiliance, sense of self and ability to connect with the world around them.
The role is primarily concerned with shift coordination, montoring, developing and supervising junior colleagues and supporting the team to follow care plans and risk assessments.
We work 7.5 hour shifts, across 7 days. We also ask that our staff rotate onto waking night shifts. This works out roughly every 6-8 weeks.
Early shift: 7.30am-3.30pm
Late shift: 2.30pm-10.3pm
Waking Night shift: 10pm-8am
