Job Advert Role Description

Priory Hospital Enfield is a 53 bed hospital in the Borough of Enfield and is situated with very good transport links. The site provides services in both a forensic setting (male medium secure & low secure) and acute services (mixed sex). The hospital can cater for up to 53 patients at one time across the four wards, and the responsibility for staffing the hospital is of vital importance.

Benefits of working on site includes free and secure parking, excellent transport links to Central London (via the Overground which is one minute walk from the site) as well excellent links to the M25 via the A10. Free meals are provided to all staff and you will be entitled to the Priory’s excellent benefits package.

We are looking for a HCPC registered dietician to support our services within three Priory Hospital sites. Priory Hospital Enfield is a Medium Secure service catering for male patients; Suttons Manner is a Low Secure service catering for older adults and Avesbury House is a Low Secure Unit catering for male patients.

Priory Healthcare is determined to ensure patients receive a nutritionally balanced diet whilst they are receiving care with us, and we need a dietician who can work closely with our kitchen staff to inform and support them in ensuring meals provided are nutritious.
The role would also include working with patients on an individual basis to develop care plans and support for patients who are keen to lose weight and maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle. Referrals for individual patients would be made by the Multi-Disciplinary Team who will work with the successful candidate to create and maintain care plans for patients.
The role would include delivering workshops to groups of patients in a psycho-education style, so that patients can be given all the information required to make balanced decisions about the food they chose to eat.
Additionally at Suttons Manner, you will be required to work with an older population that require dietetics input for their physical limitations as well as their cognitive understanding to maintain a healthy balanced diet.
