In last 6 months we have invested heavily in Priory Hospital Norwich in order to revitalise or service and ensure that we put our patients at the centre of everything we do. We are currently in the process of a phased opening and are looking for candidates who are committed to being a part of our long term journey. We are a busy acute unit aiming to offer a high standard of care and deliver great outcomes for patients. Due to the 24 hour nature of the unit, our nurses benefit from 24 hour medical and management cover in order to support the team on the ward to offer consistently high quality care at all times.

Job Advert Role Description

We are seeking talented and experienced nurses/social workers who are keen to progress their career and feel that they have the potential management and leadership capability demanded by the role of Deputy Ward Manager. Must be qualified as a first level registered nurse with the NMC/registered with social Work England, and must have a minimum of 2 years post qualifying experience working in mental health.

The successful applicants will assist with the clinical development of the ward through managing staff and monitoring clinical standards and practice. They will work closely with the Ward Manager to achieve ward targets and deliver high quality patient care.

As Deputy Ward Manager, your role will be to co-ordinate the quality and management of nursing care, patient care and the clinical environment. You will participate fully with the multidisciplinary team and undertake direct patient care as well as helping to manage and direct the delivery of clinical services within a ward or unit, and ensuring it complies with statutory regulations, current legislation and meets quality standards.
