Job Advert Role Description
An experienced Maintenance / Grounds Person is required to help carry out the reactive day to day maintenance issues within the schools/residential homes and their grounds.
- liaising with contractors when on site and ad-hoc requests from management as and when necessary.
- self motivation and the ability to work with the minimum of supervision,
- a flexible approach and the ability to prioritise and respond to the changing needs of the homes and schools
An understanding of the working environment and of young people with special education needs including Autism and BESD would be an advantage but not a requirement. Ideally will have experience in some of the following areas: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, plastering, garden maintenance (qualifications are not essential).
It is essential that you have a full and clean driving licence including your own transport.
An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this position and will be applied for once a conditional offer is made.
