Our children’s home in Blithbury are looking for Support Workers that are passionate about changing lives. You don’t need previous experience but you will need a can do attitude and a willingness to learn.
This is to work days and weekends
Our team currently care for 6 young people between 12-19 who have autism and can display challenging behaviours. Our cosy home has a sensory room, dark den and an outdoor play area and as a Support Worker you will take part in activities including baking, day trips, holidays and activities in the local Blithbury community.
The role can be challenging at times so you will need to be resilient and adaptable but there is also fun to be had!

Duties include:
- Be the young person’s champion and as part of the wider team strive to ensure that they achieve their aspirations and full potential
- Manage the well-being and behaviour of young people ensuring behaviours are addressed promptly and sensitively
- Support young people in daily activities including family contact, attending local clubs, 1:1 activities in the community, promoting independence and social behaviour
- You will be assigned a key child and play a pivotal role in their day to day life including attending reviews and liaising with external agencies and advocating their needs
- Support and encourage educational engagement and attainment including homework and behavioural support within the education setting
- You will provide or assist with personal care and promote a healthy lifestyle.
Hours:
As a support worker you will need to be flexible and willing to work rotating shifts covering week days and weekends, early shift 7am to 4pm and a late is 3pm to 22.30pm.
The role does not require any contractual ‘sleep-in’ duties.
