Our children's home in Clacton on Sea are seeking a Support Worker to strengthen their support team.

Our home is a 5 bed children's home based in Weeley, Clacton on Sea, and we offer 24/7 support to young people between the age of 8 - 18. We are part of Priory’s existing portfolio of specialist provisions for young people with social, emotional, behavioural and mental health difficulties.
Our Support Workers need to hold a full driving license as part of this role is to travel distances to support young people with their activities, family contact and training. Successful candidates will hold a driving license for at least 3 years. Previous experience with children and young people is important for this post. We can support you with attaining a qualification relevant to your role to help you progress with us.
Our Support Workers get involved with:
- Contributing to the support, care, teaching, learning, social, independence activities and experiences, which enhance the learning and development of our young people
- Supporting the well-being and behaviour of our young people ensuring any significant behavioural or physical occurrences are promptly addressed and reported, referring to a senior member of staff as appropriate
- Assisting senior staff with the compilation of care and learning plans
- Contributing to the maintenance of safety, security and confidentiality standards
- Supporting our young people in a manner that is centred and focused around their individual needs in a safe, secure and nurturing environment.
Our home is open 365 days a year and we operate a monthly rota so that staff are able to plan around work commitments. As a Support Worker, the following shifts are examples of what you could expect to work:-
08.00 - 23.00 plus a sleep in shift
08.00 - 15.00
14.30 - 23.00 plus a sleep in shift
(Sleep in shifts are staff sleeping in on shift at the home between 23.00 - 08.00)
