Job Advert Role Description

The Priory Hospital North London is recruiting for a part-time senior and highly-specialist OCD Therapist to work within an inpatient hospital setting.

You will be based in the Obsessional Disorders department, which is a small team of clinicians consisting of psychologists/ CBT Therapists, nurse therapist as well as doctoral and undergraduate psychology students. 
You would be working alongside leading experts within the field of obsessional disorders. 

The successful candidate would be trained in evidence-based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and have significant experience working with common mental health disorders, but most importantly highly-complex obsessional disorders, including OCD and BDD. 

You would hold full accreditation with the BABCP and ideally have had CBT supervisor's training with a great deal of supervision experience. 

This senior role will require for you to conduct: 

- diagnosis and providing evidence based psychological therapies, including CBT
- psychological assessment and formulation
- risk assessment and routine clinical outcome monitoring
- clinical supervision to junior staff and trainees
- weekly peer supervision with the team
- liaising with other professional groups
- clinical correspondence and reports
- organising Care Programme Approaches (CPA)


- Other recognisable therapy qualifications e.g. EMDR, DBT
- Trauma experience
- Working understanding of other modalities for the purposes of formulating patient difficulties

The Obsessional Disorders and Related Disorders department supports acute adult and CAMHS inpatient service within the hospital setting, offering in-depth evidence-based treatment in one-to-one and group format. 

You will be working as part of a wider therapy team within a MDT including consultant psychiatrists, ward team, occupational therapists and others. 
On site clinical supervision or an allowance towards private clinical supervision will be provided. 

Subject to a successful probation period (6 months), there will be opportunities for further training and there is a free in-house CPD programme.
