We are seeking a part time Consultant to join our specialist obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) service at Priory Hospital North London. This is a National Treatment Service, which manages tertiary NHS referrals of patients with treatment resistant OCD.

 

This is team offers a comprehensive inpatient therapy programme for patients with severe OCD. This consists of a CBT programme combined with pharmacological interventions.

The successful candidate will on the GMC specialist register in general adult psychiatry (or be eligible to register),  they will have experience of working in specialist OCD units and higher training in managing OCD.

 

They will have experience of providing leadership to multidisciplinary teams.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Act as Responsible Consultants for up to seven patients treated in the unit

Provide leadership to the MDT

Teach medical students from UCL

Triage referrals for admission to the unit

Develop the service strategy and operational policies

Audit outcomes

Participate in contract negotiations

Engage in the Priory North London Clinical Governance process

Engage with external stakeholders in the service
