Maintenance Assistant

We are looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join Priory Burgess Hill to carry out maintenance tasks and Planned Preventative Maintenance compliance within the role. We are always on the lookout for people with transferable skills and life experience and so you don’t need any experience as our friendly team at the Hospital will teach you everything you need to be successful in this role!

Priory Hospital Burgess Hill is located in beautiful West Sussex and offers the opportunity to gain experience across many specialist mental health disciplines including Secure Services, a DBT Locked Rehabilitation service, HDU Services and Acute care.

With a CQC rating of GOOD across all 5 Key Lines of Enquiry, you would be working in a forward thinking hospital supporting our patients recovery alongside a highly skilled and dedicated Multi-Disciplinary Team.

This role offers plenty of variety and everyday will be different but some duties will include:

Undertaking all types of general repairs/renewal in maintenance related issues.
Carry out compliance checks such as testing fire alarms, vehicle checks and hospital bed inspections under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager
Provide a security service, maintaining the security and integrity of the estate as well as the safety of its occupants.
Maintain a high level of Health and Safety awareness in own tasks and generally across the estate.
