We are looking for experienced Mental Health Nurses or Registered Doctors to deliver high quality clinical assessment, treatment and care to service users within one of our Hospitals. You will provide daily clinical leadership and support to the ward team, act as a role model for good practice across the whole service and engage with an array of professional and service development activities. Priory Hospital Norwich is our new acute service which was opened in June 2020. We have invested heavily in Priory Hospital Norwich in order to revitalise our service and ensure that we put our patients at the centre of everything we do. We are currently in the process of a phased opening and are looking for candidates who are committed to being a part of our long term journey. We are a busy acute unit aiming to offer a high standard of care and deliver great outcomes for patients.

Your main duties in this role will include:

  • Working effectively with colleagues to ensure that service users have access to appropriate clinical cover at all times, which will require participation in an on-call rota for the site.

  • Undertaking the risk assessment and adjustment of service user observation levels in conjunction with colleagues from the wider MDT.
  • Undertaking assessments for emergency detention under the Mental Health Act in line with professional background or delegated authority.
  • Arranging appropriate clinical tests and investigations and take responsibility for chasing up results and acting on them in a timely manner.
  • Participating in the on call rota.
