Job Advert Role Description

Priory Coleg North Wales are seeking to employ proactive and enthusiastic individuals to work as part of our learner support team within the College.  We are looking for one 16 hour per week role and one 24 hours per week roles working term time only.

Duties will include:

  • Working 1:1 with learners in a college environment and also to work on independence and employability skills
  • Working term time only
  • This is a term time contract and a certain degree of flexibility is essential as hours are based around the learner’s timetable and learners will be in different colleges.

Applicants must have achieved, or are prepared to work towards, a NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care/children and young persons and have experience of working within the educational/care environment.  It would be preferable if applicants had previous experience of working with students with special educational needs and Autistic Spectrum Conditions.

A knowledge of welsh language is also desirable but not essential.

Staff may be required to work outside term time if training is required.  The successful candidate will hold a full clean driving license with access to their own vehicle as travel to other colleges in the area may be required.

Priory College North Wales is a specialist further education college for learners aged 16-25 with Autistic Spectrum Conditions, Asperger Syndrome and associated conditions. Priory Coleg North Wales works in partnership with Coleg Cambria to deliver mainstream education with tailored support in education, independence and communication skills.
