Job Advert Role Description

Would you like a new, exciting opportunity working at our new Hospital opening in 2021?

We could have the opportunity for you!

Located at the foot of the Malvern Hills, Priory Hospital Malvern provides a specialist psychiatric rehabilitation and recovery service for men aged 18 years or older in a beautiful and relaxing setting. Our patients suffer from enduring mental illness and/ or personality disorder.   We support the needs of both detained and voluntary patients and can manage patients with complex needs, including those with a history of offending.

Our service focuses on developing skills for independence and helping them to learn new ways of managing their condition and symptoms, with the aim of helping to prevent future relapse.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a leading role in starting up this new service, leading a new staff team with the experience of an experienced Leadership team, developing Priory’s reputation for delivering the highest standards of care to a new site and broadening Priory’s provision of services in the Worcestershire area.

Our approach

Priory Hospital Malvern works with patients who often have significant impairment due to schizophrenia by helping them to learn and develop new skills to maximise their independence and successfully reintegrate them back into the community.

We also encourage patients to be actively involved in hospital developments by attending regular community meetings and taking part in patient involvement projects such as environmental work, which enhance and empower the overall patient experience.

The therapy programme offers a 12-week timetable which includes in-house psychology.

There is strong governance structure within the Region and the successful applicant will be expected to take an active role in service and quality development activities and to participate in governance meetings and Service Line meetings, as necessary.
