Is the kitchen your favourite place to be? Does seeing others enjoy food you have prepared fill you with joy? Why not turn your talent into a career with Priory!

We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join Mill Garth Hospital to make meal times for our patients, staff and visitors their favourite time of day. We are always on the lookout for people with transferable skills and life experience so you don’t need any experience as our friendly team at the Hospital will teach you everything you need to be successful in this role!

Mill Garth Hospital is a 21-bedded locked rehabilitation and recovery service suitable for men aged 18 years and over. The hospital focuses on active rehabilitation and recovery for those with mental illnesses and personality disorders.

This role offers plenty of variety and everyday will be different but some duties will include:

  • Providing a warm and welcoming catering service with the help from an engaging and attentive team
  • Preparing and serving tasty, nutritious and well-presented meals, making every plate as special as the last
  • Ensuring that the kitchen and associated areas are kept to a high standard of hygiene, including food and equipment storage

To recognise your hard work, we would like to offer you:

  • An excellent careers pathway – there are plenty of career opportunities within Priory for you to explore and work in whatever your interests are.
  • Job security – there will always be work in the Healthcare Sector!
  • Free parking – because who should pay to park at work?
  • 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays – plenty of time for holidays! (Pro rata for part time)
  • An extra day annual leave for your birthday!- Because we believe no one should have to work on their birthday.
  • Access to our Priory Perks app – save your-self money at lots of high street retailers, restaurants and other services.
  • Comprehensive induction - we want you to be the best you can be in your new role and we invest the time to make sure you understand what that role is and how you can be successful in it.

The hours are 18 per week across three days Monday, Thurday and Friday.  Additional hours may be required upon negotiation.

If you have a ‘can do’ attitude and are team player, then we would love to hear from you.  Please apply today.
