We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Proact-SciPr Coordinator/Instructor to join the team and support our growing business. Althought this role is part of our Central Services the successful candidate will be working within and supporting our Education and Children's Services Division.

As part of the Divisional Quality Team, the PROACT-SCIPr-UK® Coordinator/Instructor will provide professional support to the Education and Childrens Services Division; acting as a reliable source of information and advice on PROACT-SCIPr-UK® training requirements, processing all related administration within agreed timescales and providing excellent customer service. .

The responsibilities for the role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Promote the divisional ethos; “Would this be good enough for my child?”
  • To act as Centre Co-ordinator for Education and Children’s services PROACT-SCIPr-UK® and hold the relationship with Loddon Consultancy ensuring all the requirements and governance procedures defined within contractual arrangements, and by BILD, in the creation and maintenance of a positive and proactive work force are met
  • Take responsibility for the delivery of the Education and Children’s services PROACT-SCIPr-UK® Strategy to ensure the principles of person centred care, improvement in individual’s lives and ongoing reduction of restrictive practices are central to the ethos and culture across the business. 
  • Be responsible for the professional leadership and consistency of practice of a national team of PROACT-SCIPr-UK® Principal Instructors and Instructors and work to ensure sufficient capacity across the division.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Extensive experience of training physical intervention approaches and hold. Or be willing to hold, a PROACT-SCIPr-UK® Instructor Qualification 
  • Expert specialist knowledge of physical intervention approaches, the monitoring and reduction of restrictive practice and implementing strategy in a related business environment. 
  • Regular CPD to ensure the role holder is up to date and credible in a wide range of areas
  • detailed and up to date knowledge of the SEN sector, regulatory matters and current best practice. 
  • A sound understanding of Education, and children’s social care across the UK, as well the regulatory landscape.
  • At least 3 years' experience of working with children/young people who may display behaviours that can be challenging.
  • Experience of leading a team – being able to set objectives, equipping employees to achieve those objectives and providing a range of support to help a team develop and progress its overall level of capability and contribution to the business.
  • Extensive experience working within a PBS and person centred culture in a diverse and complex environment.
  • Experience of discussing issues with, and presenting findings to, senior management teams.
  • Experience of strategy development and implementation.
  • Experience of managing and investigating incidents and safeguarding issues.
