Job Advert Role Description

Priory Hospital Norwich is our new acute service which was opened in June 2020. In last 6 months we have invested heavily in Priory Hospital Norwich in order to revitalise or service and ensure that we put our patients at the centre of everything we do. We are currently in the process of a phased opening and are looking for candidates who are committed to being a part of our long term journey. We are a busy acute unit aiming to offer a high standard of care and deliver great outcomes for patients. 

We are seeking a motivated individual to work on Acute adult ward supporting doctor's with Ward rounds and other medical secretarial duties, which includes undertaking various administration duties, filling, note taking, ensuring booklets are prepared along with supporting day to day operations of the ward.
Role responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
*Provide efficient and effective administrative support to the hospital and particularly the medical team. This will regularly include typing, minute taking, receiving telephone enquiries, diary and appointment management, managing correspondence, meeting and greeting visitors and other administrative tasks as appropriate. You will also be required to liaise with other Priory Healthcare sites and departments, Insurers, GPs and Commissioners regarding specific patient details and invoicing.  • Provide exceptional customer service to our patients, ensuring a positive customer experience. 
• Organise diaries and patient appointments directly with patients and Consultants whilst ensuring the hospital is providing the best possible service to patients. 
• Consistent use of CareNotes, paying particular attention to uploading reports and copy documents as appropriate and in line with company policies and SLAs. 
• Liaise with Inpatient and Therapy Services regarding admissions, discharges, follow up arrangements and CPA and other multi agency meetings 
• Recognise importance of enquiries, issues and callers and apply the appropriate prioritisation to ensure the highest level of service at all times. 
• Handle complaints from patients and families with sensitivity and a level of urgency, escalating to the site Medical Director and HD, and in accordance with Company Policy. 
• Ensure that all documentation is correctly filed, in order that financial, regulatory and other auditors can be satisfied.
• Ensure that Medical records are safely stored and archived in accordance with company and local procedures.
