Job Advert Role Description

Priory Hospital Norwich is our new acute service which was opened in June 2020. In last 6 months we have invested heavily in Priory Hospital Norwich in order to revitalise or service and ensure that we put our patients at the centre of everything we do. We are currently in the process of a phased opening and are looking for candidates who are committed to being a part of our long term journey. We are a busy acute unit aiming to offer a high standard of care and deliver great outcomes for patients. 


We are seeking a motivated individual to provide comprehensive reception and administration service to patients, visitors and ward staff. Sucesful candidate will have excellent standard of written and spoken English, will have IT competence, will be orgenised and customer focused. Experience in an administrative function previously ideally in a similar setting but not essential.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Meet and greet visitors to the ward 
• Provide a prompt and efficient telephone response service on the ward 
 • Ensure the ward administration systems are in place, to support the clinical team 
• Prepare patient admission packs
• Record patient admissions and discharges on the relevant IT systems • Obtain patient records from other hospitals as required • Communicate with the Admissions team, Bed manager, Medical Secretaries and other colleagues regarding bed availability and related matters 
• Document information in accordance with Record keeping and GDPR standards 
• Sort and process incoming and outgoing mail on the ward • Book patient transport as required 
• Undertake photocopying, filing and archiving services 
• Ensure that all necessary funding is in place for the duration of the individual's care
