Job Advert Role Description

Priory Healthcare will be opening a new hospital set in the beautiful surroundings of Lickey Hills, to the south of Birmingham, in November 2020.  The hospital will provide services for both NHS and private patients, with a range of mental health conditions.

The service will comprise of 3 wards: a 10-bed adult Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (for adult females), a 12 bed adult Acute ward and a 12 bed Private Acute ward.  The service will take a multi-disciplinary approach to delivering personalised treatment programmes to our in-patients as well as offering a Private Outpatient service.

We are seeking to appoint a Speciality Grade Doctor to work primarily on our new inpatient female Psychiatric Interntive Care Unit at Lickey Hills Priory Hospital.

You will be part of a full multi-disciplinary team and you will be responsible for the medical and psychiatric assessment and treatment of up to 10 patients with psychiatric illnesses.

You will be supervised in your role by a consultant in Psychiatry.

Experience in Psychiatry is essential and experience in an Acute setting is advantageous.
