Job Advert Role Description

Priory Hospital Enfield is a combined secure and acute hospital with close links to Central London. The hospital provides care to male patients across it's three secure wards and both male and female patients across it's one acute ward.

The site has excellent transport links, it is within a one minute walk of the overground train and is less than a mile from the A10.

We are currently looking for Activity Coordinator who can adopt an active ward-based role in planning and co-coordinating patient activities through proactive engagement of the patients the Multi-Disciplinary Team.


The successful Activity coordinator should be:

•           Monitoring programme activity and being proactive in ensuring that meaningful therapeutic activity is provided

•           Working collaboratively with the Multi-disciplinary team members on patient activity

•           Assist the Occupational Therapists and contribute to the assessing, planning, implementation and monitoring of patient’s rehabilitation.

•           Contributing to the creation of patient ward timetable, ensuring that patients have access to therapeutic intervention to meet their recovery needs and are provided with a range of activities to promote healthier lifestyles

•           Providing effective and accurate clinical entries and outcome of activities using an electronic patient database system

•           Leading on daily and weekly planning meetings, supporting the patients in managing their dairies whilst also contributing to the ward organisation

•           Deliver a range of groups which target specific needs of the patients (for example Recovery College, Hospital Shop, gym and pro-social activities).

•           Supporting the Occupational Therapy department in facilitating monthly events.

•           Supporting patients to re-integrate into the community by rehabilitating them in community settings.
