Job Advert Role Description

Our children's home in Trowbridge are seeking to recruit dedicated staff to join our support services team.

Our home offers exciting opportunities for strong, enthusiastic and highly motivated staff who have experience with young people with challenging, complex and diverse needs and who preferably have some knowledge of autistic spectrum disorders and Asperger’s Syndrome. However experience is not essential, providing you have a willingness to learn and the compassion and patience needed to support. You must also be able to demonstrate a high degree of emotional resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

As a Support Worker you will:

  • Be a key member of our team, providing high standards of person-centred care
  • Through a creative and caring approach, you will build good relationships with both young people and their families
  • Provide personal care and participate in activities.

This role will require individuals to work flexibly and to undertake shift work including early shifts, late shifts and weekends.

A clean driving licence with at least 3 years driving experience is essential.  It is an expectation of the role that all Support Workers will either work towards or already hold the level 3 Diploma for Children and Young Peoples Workforce.

We are happy to consider flexible shift patterns, including days, early/late shifts, and weekends - this can be discussed in more detail at interview.
