Job Advert Role Description

Burton Park is a neurobehavioural locked rehabilitation hospital for patients with acquired brain injury and neuro-progressive conditions patient displaying co-existing neuropsychiatric conditions and challenging behaviour. 

There are three wards offering 50 beds. Warwick Lodge, Dalby and Cleves. A variety of care pathways are available, including acute and longer-term neurobehavioural rehabilitation and person-centred care, emphasising the least restrictive setting.

The multi-disciplinary team includes psychology, nursing, occupational therapy, speech & language therapy, physiotherapy, social workers and medical. 

Burton Park is a member of the Independent Neurorehabilitation Providers Alliance (INPA).

As receptionist you will be required to greeting, receive and process all enquiries and visitors courteously, quickly and efficiently, and ensure a high standard of tidiness in reception area. Projecting a positive image of the Company.

Assisting in maintaining full reception cover Monday to Friday across the site.

Ensuring visiting customers, referrers, patients, relatives, visiting professionals and general visitors are welcomed, looked after and passed on in a caring, efficient and professional manner.  Taking responsibility for ensuring all visitors are issued with appropriate visitor badges.

Receiving and processing all incoming and outgoing telephone calls quickly, courteously and efficiently. 

Liaising with Emergency Services if and when required.

Sending all outgoing mail on a daily basis, mailing records as appropriate, and sorting and distribution of incoming mail.

Undertaking any tasks requested that are commensurate with the post’s level of responsibility.

Undertaking the role of Fire Marshall should there be a fire evacuation

Personal Specification: 
Skills & Knowledge         

IT Skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Effective communication skills.
Outstanding interpersonal skills 
High standard of personal presentation 
Clear speech and a friendly, warm telephone manner 
Approachable and personable nature 
Sense of urgency with the ability to respond quickly and efficiently to demands

Experience
Administration experience.
