Job Advert Role Description

We are seeking a Team Leader to support our children and young people. 

Our Children’s Home situated in the Preston area, Lancashire, are seeking a permanent full time Residential Team Leader.  Under the direction of the Registered House Manager, you will effectively lead the team of support workers and enable the delivery of care and education to all the students and young people.  You will effectively guide and manage the team and ensure that the service complies with local procedures and corporate policy, statutory regulations and quality standards.  The successful candidate will also be required to take part in on call duties.

As a member of the residential care team, you will provide residential care for boys and girls aged 6 to 19 who have mild, moderate and severe autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex learning needs and challenging behaviour.  This could be in the form of helping the young person to School, accompanying them to take part in an activity or simply assisting them in completion of general daily tasks, including morning and night time routines.

  • NVQ Diploma Level 3 Caring for children and young people and relevant experience in a children's residential setting is essential.

Due to the remote location of our home and the duties of the role a valid clean driving license is essential.
