We know that Priory wouldn’t exist without their combined energy, expertise and effort.  So we invest heavily in training, provide first-class support, promote collaborative teamwork and give everyone on our team the opportunities and resources to achieve their full potential.

Job Advert Role Description

Priory Group is one of the UK’s leading providers of independent specialist secure and step-down care across the UK. With hospitals around the country, many years of experience and highly experienced teams, we help patients and commissioners find the right care pathways, without the need for multiple reassessments.

Llanarth Court Hospital has built a strong reputation over almost 30 years for providing high quality care in secure conditions, offering a range of therapeutic and leisure opportunities, and making full use of its extensive grounds. The hospital has 96 beds across 7 wards with male and female medium secure, and male low secure and rehabilitation wards.  There are plans to upgrade the facilities, with a new purpose-built accommodation block and improvements to the existing patient accommodation.

A vacancy has arisen for a Registered Clinical or Forensic Psychologist to work part time in the large psychology team based at Llanarth Court Hospital. We are looking to recruit a part time Clinical or Forensic Psychologist. Llanarth Court Hospital has seven wards and cares for Forensic patients with a range of mental health needs. Our Psychologists work alongside colleagues from Psychiatry, Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Social Work to provide high quality care. The Psychologist we are looking for will be experienced in assessment and formulation to help determine the treatment needs of individual service users. The role also includes providing training to staff, running reflective practice, writing risk assessments and providing individual and group interventions, to meet the needs of the population. There is a large established and supportive psychology team at Llanarth Court to provide the backdrop to the work on the units.   We are looking for someone with a creative and compassionate approach, with an enthusiasm for improving the quality of life of our service users both whilst they are in our care and as they progress to less restrictive environments.
