Job Advert Role Description

Priory group is one of the UK’s leading provider of independent specialist secure and step-down services for people with mental illness, personality disorders, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders and brain injuries.
Elm Park is a 17 bedded Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit in Ardleigh which specialises in the assessment, care and treatment of adult residents (18+ years) with an acquired brain injury. The main unit is also linked to Elm House and Elm Cottage which offer open community rehabilitation services for men and women with a traumatic or acquired brain injury. 


The Occupational Therapist has responsibility for assessing and devising appropriate care plans for residents who have an acquired brain injury within an all male rehabilitation unit.
You will ideally have experience working with brain injury service users or challenging behaviour.
Your role will be to identify and deliver appropriate and relevant treatments and interventions within the given field of therapy. These plans will need to be person centred and focus on the patient's needs identified through assessments carried out by the Occupational Therapist.
As the sole Occupational Therapist on site, you will need to be proactive and able to work well under pressure.
