Job Advert Role Description

Priory Fostering Services was registered in 2003 and operates as an independent fostering agency as part of Priory Education and Children's Services, which has been continuously judged to be Outstanding by Ofsted since 2012. Our agency us based near Malvern in Worcestershire. 

We are looking to recruit Fostering Support Worker who you will operate in partnership with and under the direction of the Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, Senior Practitioner and Supervising Social Workers to provide proactive and practical support, advice and guidance to our foster carers to promote placement stability for our children, so that they have an enjoyable childhood, benefiting from excellent parenting and education, enjoying a wide range of opportunities to develop their talents and skills leading to a successful adult life.

You will contribute toward ensuring our children grow up in a loving environment that can meet their developmental needs. You will ensure our children's wishes and feelings are listened to and valued when important decisions are made about their lives and the development of the service we provide. You will work with an awareness that Priory Fostering Services is a service provider, providing services for local authorities.

The agency is based near Malvern in Worcestershire and is a preferred provider for local authorities throughout the West Midlands, which means we're able to carefully match children and young people with the right fostering household and young people. The agency provides short term and long term placements for children up to the age of 18, for sibling groups, parent and child placements and unaccompanied asylum seeking children.

Priory Fostering Services benefits from an experienced team of enthusiastic Supervising Social Workers, a Fostering Support Worker and Therapeutic Practitioner, who are driven to ensure our fostering households are well supported. For all roles we require a minimum of two references.  References provided must cover the last 3 years, for all of our services we will need to request all references from where you have worked with either Children or Vulnerable Adults. Please be advised that references may be requested prior to interview for roles within our schools.
