Job Advert Role Description

Our Children’s Home situated in Ross-On-Wye, Herefordshire is seeking a permanent full-time Children's Support Worker. Grosvenor House is registered to accommodate a maximum of 5 young people of either gender from 14 - 19 years of age. Grosvenor House Children's Home which we believe is a very special home for children and young people where daily living experiences and activities are meaningful and memorable and are designed to meet the needs of individual children in areas that are personal to them. Grosevnor house is one of six homes that feed into the priory Queenswood School.

As a Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing day to day care for our young people, supporting them in activities, education and statutory meetings relating to their time in residential care. Working as a team you will ensure the home is kept to a good standard in all aspects of house-keeping.

Our Support Worker roles in Ross-on-Wye offer a salary of £16,185 per annum plus £40 nightly sleep in allowance. There is an opportunity for overtime if desired.

Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification is desirable but not essential for this role (we can support with the training of this.) Successful applicants will ideally have previous experience of working with young people with challenging behaviour. 

Due to the rural location of the Home in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, you would need to be a driver and have your own car.

Hours

A family is 24/7 and so are we. We use a rota system to ensure the young people in our home get the care they need. As a Support Worker, in our Home you can you should be happy to work a shift rota system that includes working some weekends and bank holidays.

Week 1: Monday & Thursday

Week 2: Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday

Week 3: Tuesday & Friday
