Job Advert Role Description

Because we want you to get off to the best start with us, we are giving you an extra £250 when you join us. When you are settled in in 6 months’ time, we will give you an extra £250 for your hard work!

Due to staff progression our Children's Home in Whiston, Rotherham we are currently recruiting Support Workers to join our team.

At our home in Whiston we have a professional, diverse and supportive team from a range of backgrounds that support our young people with everyday activities and day trips as well as emotional and behavioural difficulties. We also achieved a ‘Good’ grading at our most recent Ofsted Inspection.

Our home currently supports 4 boys between 9 and 18 that have emotional and behavioural difficulties and complex diagnoses such as ASD. Your support will keep you active and occupied providing you with a range of new experiences whilst supporting our young people to build their self-esteem and learn life skills.

Our young people do have behaviours that challenge so you will need to be emotionally resilient and able to cope with change.

Due to the needs of our young people, we are specifically looking for candidates who drive.

If you do not already have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare qualification you will need to complete this as part of your role (fully funded by Priory)

Hours:

  • Shift patterns: Early 7:30am-15:30pm, late 14:00pm-22:30pm & Full 7:30am-22:30pm.
  • Occasional sleep in duties may also be available at £35 per sleep.
