Priory Adult Care is currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Assistant for our purpose built nursing home and day centre based in Sleaford.

Ashfield Lodge are looking for a Maintenance person to join the dedicated team of staff.

Ashfield Lodge is a newly refurbished, purpose built nursing home and day centre located in the quiet market town of Sleaford. The small and intimate home accommodates up to 20 people and provides support for people with mental health and physical needs who require assistance and care.  The home also provides day care in a dedicated centre with a kitchen, lounge diner and a well-equipped activities room. The homely and comfortable environment has been finished to a high standard and the attractive enclosed gardens and patio provide residents with a relaxing place to sit and enjoy the outdoors. The home is easily accessible either by road or by rail and is located just a short walk or drive from the town centre

This role is full-time.

As a Maintenance Assistant your primary duty will be to ensure that our residents live in a home that is a safe environment for them that adheres to health and safety standards. You will need to work closely with the home manager to ensure that all fixtures and fittings are in excellent condition and equipment is regularly serviced. Duties will include:

  • Ensuring the home is maintained as a safe and secure place to live for the residents
  • Maintaining the home and grounds to ensure they are in excellent condition at all times
  • Work closely with the home manager on long term maintenance plans
  • Check and repair fixtures and fittings that may include lighting and heating
