Job Advert Role Description

Our small schools provide specialist education for young people aged 8-19 with high functioning autism. Pupils may also have challenging behaviour as a result of their communication difficulties and a lack of social understanding.

We are seeking a Bank Housekeeper to join our support services team.

As a Bank Housekeeper, you will provide ad-hoc housekeeping to cover staff absence, and as such, this role is not permanent fixed hours, but you would be called upon for housekeeping duties at any of our three sites; two in Hinckley and one in Narborough.

As a valued part of our dedicated team, you will maintain a high standard of housekeeping throughout the schools.  This involves general cleaning duties, restocking dispensers and ordering supplies to ensure the school is clean, tidy and a safe environment for our students and staff.

The following skills would be of benefit to the role:

  • Previous experience in a housekeeping or site cleaning position
  • A good knowledge of COSHH and health and safety in the workplace, however training will be provided
  • You will be organised, adaptable and thorough in your approach to work
  • Have the flexibility to work at fairly short notice and for short or longer term durations.

Part of this role may involve lone working and you may be required to open a site or secure and lock up a building at the end of your shift.
