The key functions of the team are to ensure that appropriate standards are in place and that audits are undertaken against those standards.

Note that this is primarily a post that can be undertaken by a person working from their home base.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Group Policy Coordinator to join our team and support our growing business.

This focus of this role is to ensure that the Priory policy and procedural systems are in place and adhere to legislation, guidelines and emerging best practice.

The post holder will require a good eye for detail with a good skills in terms of written and verbal communication and an ability to draft and steer succinct and well-written policies across a number of different internal and external stakeholders.

Similarly the post holder will be required to give advice about the policy and procedures that are in place to ensure that staff understand their responsibilities and undertake service user care and treatment safely and in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Job Advert Role Description

Group Policy Coordinator duties include but are not limited to

  • Record and monitor policies to ensure they are updated in line with new legislation and guidance.
  • To monitor and respond to enquires received via our internal helpdesk – not necessarily to know the answers but to know where to find the answers.
  • Ensuring that information is disseminated from the helpdesk to staff across the group.
  • To maintain and update the legal and compliance intranet pages to ensure they are an essential resource for all of our Priory colleagues.
  • Provide administrative support to the Priory Network Advisory Group (PRNAG), including recording research projects and associated documents, arranging monthly and quarterly meetings, producing agendas and minutes.
  • Assist with the development of innovations within the Policy team to streamline processes and add value.
  • To provide proactive and reactive support to the Group Policy and Accreditation Manager and Director of Risk Management and other senior management team members when required.
  • To attend, as required, group forums and meetings as a means of keeping abreast of new developments and translating these into the policy and procedure system.
  • Monitoring the NICE website and other appropriate websites and sources to ensure Priory policies across the group are formed in line with NICE guidelines and all other relevant guidance and legislation.


What we would like from the Group Policy Coordinator

  • Will have a basic understanding and competent level of numeracy and literacy.
  • Good computer skills to an intermediate level of proficiency for the standard range of office applications.
  • Previous general experience within a co-ordinator role, ideally within a policy role and/or healthcare sector.
