Job Advert Role Description

Our Children’s Home situated in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire is seeking a Senior Support Worker to join their team.  As a Senior Care Support Worker at our children’s home in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire you will be a key member of our team, providing high standards of person-centred support and care to our young people.
Through a warm, welcoming and relaxed approached with a structured environment, you will encourage young people to develop social, educational and practical skills to lead a fulfilling life set in beautiful surroundings.  We care for up to 3 young people exhibiting Behavioural, Emotional, and Social Difficulties. The home is situated in a semi rural location so ability to drive is essential for this role.

As a Senior Support Worker for our young people in the Mansfield, Nottinghamshire area you can expect a salary of up to £21,994.00 plus £35 sleep in allowance and additional overtime rate.

Hours:

Examples of shifts can include:

Single shift : 07:30 am -23:00 pm

Double Shifts : 07:30 am -23:00 pm + sleep in 07:00 am -23:00 pm

As a Senior Support Worker you will:

  • Be accountable for the shift ensuring that the shift runs smoothly allocating duties to Residential support workers
  • Be supportive to the staff team and share out responsibilities
  • Lead the team in difficult incidents, ensuring all documents are completed when on shift
  • Ensure the home is clean and tidy and kept to a high standard daily
  • Support the Manager and the Deputy in running the home effectively.

Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification is essential for this role. Previous experience of working with Young People who can exhibit challenging behaviours would be desirable, however if you have the right personality we will support you to gain and develop your experience.
