The Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal is a specialist provider of complex mental health services, providing clinical excellence in our eating disorders, adolescent, rehabilitation and PICU services.

We have a job opportunity for a Maintenance role.

The role will require the person to have had some experience in general maintenance repairs and would need to demonstrate the following:

-The ability to resolve basic maintenance issues quickly and efficiently

-Ability to resolve problems and adhere to safety guidelines

-To be flexible and capable of working as part of an on call out of hours rota system

-Ability to work as part of a team

-Good communication skills

-Resourcefulness and self-motivation

-Capable of working safely with hand tools and machinery

-Undertake regular and routine tasks but can alter the sequence of tasks on a daily basis to meet the need of a particular operational occurrence

-Ability to occasionally work in adverse weather conditions ie gritting and clearing site of snow / fallen branches

Main Purposes and Key Accountabilities:

-Under direction, delivers an efficient and effective maintenance service within the Priory unit to assist in the wellbeing, safety and comfort of patient and pupils.

-Maintains a well decorated, safe and comfortable environment throughout the unit in line with quality standards, and follows work processes which comply with statutory regulations.

-Ensures that Priory minimum standards are delivered in all unit areas in a timely and efficient manner, as part of a team,

-Identifies and reports damage, faults and other related issues and then actions as agreed to ensure that environmental conditions continue to meet quality standards and statutory regulations.

-Liaises with contractors on site, as required providing local knowledge and guidance, in order that planned and preventive maintenance schedules can be completed in a timely fashion.
