Job Advert Role Description

Our children's home are seeking a Small Holding & Grounds Worker with previous experience of working in a challenging environment.  The successful candidate will have an understanding of working with farm animals and is able to progress and grow the holding by supporting a therapeutic approach, as well as minor grounds maintenance.   

Our Children’s Home is situated between Mildenhall and Lakenheath, in the Forest Health District which boarders onto Cambridgeshire and Norfolk. It’s a 5 bedded home for males and females aged 8 - 18 with EBD primary diagnoses, with other complex associated needs. The home seeks to provide a safe and understanding ethos in which the young person can be assisted to address their behaviors and to take responsibility for their own actions. The emphasis of the work is by way of intervention and to challenge the inappropriate behavior through a holistic therapeutic approach.

The home has a small holding where we keep a number of farm animals and extensive grounds that provide environment enrichment for our young people.
